Mrs. Ross

Dear Parents or Guardians,

Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year. Here at Mead Valley Elementary School it is our mission to “ensure the academic, social, and emotional success for every student.”   It is my pleasure to help prepare our first graders for success in the 21st century.  It is my goal to provide an engaging and enriching learning environment that promotes student success. My aim is to aid in the development of strong academic achievers, critical thinkers and problem solvers, and lifelong learners.

Through a student centered approach, your child will explore the California Common Core State Standards for ELA/Literacy and Math. Additionally, we will investigate the NGSS and will engage in STEM activities, Art, and P.E.

In our ever changing world our students must be able to compete in a global marketplace and become college and career ready; therefore, we have become an AVID school.  Students are taught to “advance via individual determination.”  With high expectations, our PBIS system, and a growth mindset, we are thrilled to begin a brand new school year.

Let’s forge a great partnership to ensure the success of all of our students. Please feel free to contact me at (951) 490-8540 between the hours of 7:30 - 7:45 a.m. or 2:20 - 3:00 p.m. You may also email, jot down a quick note, or stop me at the gate to discuss any concerns, address any problems, or get answers to your questions. See you "Back to School" on August 31, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. in room 18!

Anticipating a Successful Year,

Mrs. Ross
